Alpine Celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day

June 21, 2021

June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada. As an important part of National Indigenous History Month, June 21 is a day to celebrate Canada’s First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples and their culture. Alpine’s head office is located on Tsawwassen and Musqueam land and we recognize and praise the contributions our First Nation, Inuit and Metis colleagues make to our success across Canada.

This year, we’re shining a light on the good work of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB). Founded in 1982, CCAB sees commerce as an important part of strengthening Indigenous communities across Canada. It is dedicated to building a bridge between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, communities and businesses.

Through a combination of research, programs and well-planned events, CCAB provides Indigenous businesses with the resources they need to develop and grow. The council also provides non-Indigenous businesses with the opportunity to connect and build relationships with Indigenous businesses, strengthening our collective networks and economies.

This National Indigenous Peoples Day, take a moment to read more about CCAB and celebrate the culture and great contributions of our Indigenous friends, colleagues and communities.
